The zoo was a pretty long day. We trekked all over muriwai, piha and now the zoo. I have no idea how many kms we've been walking recently, but I'm starting to feel like a tourist all over again. :P
These eggs are supposed to be tuatara eggs in the children's playground in the middle of the auckland zoo grounds. cute eh?
Don't have too much fun now boys. We were looking at some birds. I guess they didn't find that super thrilling.
We're checking out the super cool spider monkeys here. They rock!
We found this frog in the middle of a buncha trees that we weren't sure we could enter or not. That was fun! Then some Japanese girls came and were trying to pose but we couldn't tear brennen off of it.
The kids laughed long and hard at this sign and wanted this picture and want it posted and want it to send to their friends.
Some guy kept getting in the way of my taking this picture. I think it was one of the last things we looked at, it was hot and we were tired.
I got a few shots of the hippo. :D mostly it's butt according to the kids :D these guys are finally getting to see that hippo out of the water.
This is when we first got there. There is a whole giraffe family in there, baby and all! it was so cute.
The tamarins are gorgeous! They have an orange one by the spider monkeys. Daniel says he's going to write an essay on them because he found them fascinating.
Daniel came and asked me if I'd take a picture of him doing something. Sure, it's great to be able to "see" the picture you've just taken on the digicam, but I couldn't tell that his eyes were closed. So you've got the picture of the two of em in there. We're driving north today. To leigh, manganui . . . who knows, we're late leaving and rose won't wake up. ta for now xox April
