Chapter Thirtyone:28 March 2005
Happy Birthday Again Daniel!

Daniel had a bit of a surprise this afternoon ish. Brennen and I had gone to the store in the morning to pick up decorations and a cake. After we got back, Daniel went to the store with Patrick.

We had poppers, streamers, noisy balloons, cake, pizza – all the party fixins eh. Daniel got one of those infamous new zealand chocolate fish!

After he opened his present, Brennen discovered that the Easter Bunny had come for a visit! Wow, was he ever excited about that! Already hyped up on cake, pizza, chocolate milk and those popper banger things – add to that tons of chocolate eggs!

We went to the Mexican Café for dinner. Service was super pokey slow tonight, but the food was alright, except for Rose’s fajitas. She didn’t like them at all.

With the sky tower across the street, we thought we might pop in and check it out, since we’ve never done that before.

Up up up we went, it was pretty scary, yet fast. There is a glass window at the bottom of the elevator, so you can watch yourself or the shaft as you go up or down. : P blech. The doors are glass too. You can see EVERYTHING from the sky tower. No one was bungy jumping off of it tonight though.

When Patrick and I were living downtown, we used to frequent Ponsonby quite a bit, as it was close and has the nearest Video Ezy. There is a park with what looks like building corners peeking out of a sea of grass.

We’ve always meant to take pictures of it, since it’s super cool. We had the camera with us one day, but agreed it looks much much better at night.

The kids absolutely loved that stuff. You know they’re having a good time when they never want to leave where you’re at.

I think I did about seven loads of laundry today. I’ve been doing laundry every day since the washing machine came on Wednesday morning. . . today there seemed to be a million more loads . . . Everyone pitched in and cleaned house today, fighting over the vaccuuming even! It was pretty sweet! And they don’t mind days where we just mostly hang around at home!
Life is good.
Much love,
April
