Chapter Thirtythree:06 April 2005
last day

On the boys's last day, we went for a walk. We saw a lot of different birds. We live in a pretty cool area, being on a penninsula, and although we've got all that water around us, we don't really have a beach to play on.

The first picture is outside of our happy yellow home.

This next picture was a really cool bird - we still haven't figured out what it is though.

Brennen really wanted a picture with this tree.

Underneath this bridge were a lot of ducks.

We'd walked onto a board walk over this really marshy area, and in the clearer pool we saw a zillion tiny fish. They ran to the gate for a picture. My little hams

The boys were awed by the orange grass.

All of the pukeko have been out and about while the boys have been here. We haven't seen them all summer, so now that it's cooling off, i suppose they're hopping off of their nests and showing their little ones the ropes.

Brennen must have worn himself right out during our walk today. It only took us about a half an hour to get to the airport, but he zonked right out!

It was a teary awful goodbye. It was pretty difficult to watch them walk away alone on their own. I think they really enjoyed thier trip!

I know that at some point they both said they'd like to come back. Rose did too. Apparently they all MUST have really enjoyed their trip because none of them had to do anything at all! I guess everyone does the dishes, tidies up, cleans things and stuff! I got stuck doing a lot of cleaning. They cashed in on their free april's the maid service. As a matter of fact, it was better than free, they got $$ for themselves too!

I miss them so much, and I'm glad we're back to work straight away. Anything else and I'd be swinging in an awful depression. I'm keeping super busy, have a staff meeting tonight and the kids at daycare love my new David books! We haven't even gotten around to washing their towels and bedding yet. There's hardly time when we're out the door before eight and home just after seven. It'll have to wait for the weekend I guess.

much love, wish us luck with the commute,

April
